At The Apostle Saint Peter's Words

Before the Lord, this is abomination;
for Christ Himself said do not be called Master.
Matthew recorded that---a declaration
Christ made nearby the temple.  In the past your
husbands may have requested or demanded
such honor for their wounded manhood's sake.
But what Christ has specifically commanded
cannot be broken, though their egos break.
I wrote that Sarah called her husband, lord.
I did not write that you must . . . in accord
with Christ's words.  If your husbands' domination
requires, of you, a slavish subjugation
(which they call honor in displayed Submission),
they bring upon the Church the world's derision,
and themselves to a slick slope of damnation.

Author's Notes/Comments:

 Matthew 23:10 and 1 Peter 3:6.

I have had correspondence from Christians who claim that the d/S relationship is not inappropriate in the Church.  And yet, the husbands in these relationships are called "master" (I flatly refuse to capitalize it).  And yet, I would raise the question:  is direct disobedience to the clearly stated command of Christ inappropriate in the Church?  But, someday, they will explain it to Him, not me.
