At Deuteronomy 33:29b

Who else is like unto the people saved
by Christ?  Their testimony is engraved
upon the chronicle of History.
Nor can it be destroyed, deprived, depraved,
or dirtied by the old catastrophe
of sin, the instigated travesty
to which the whole creation was enslaved
since Eden.  But, redeemed in Christ, we raise
a constant, grateful sacrifice of praise
that sounds forth from the old paths and good ways---
from these peculiar people Christ has saved.

"from these peculiar people Christ has saved"

Why are the people peculiar? That line stood out the most.

This came across to me in a preacher's voice...strong and reverberant. And I liked it. I wish I could bookmark it on the site or something, you know?

Nice work--keep writing onward.

I am very sorry for, and very embarrassed by, my failure to respond to your comment in a timely way.

The term "peculiar" is found in Titus 2:14 and 1 Pwter 2:9.

I thank you for the kind compliment in your comment.
