At Prayer During Company Time

Guilt rises from accumulated errors
(obtuse ghosts recollected from my past).
It joins with future economic terrors
thrust forth on threats that end careers, forecast
out of the mayhem of our monthly measures
(our stockholders seek even greater treasures).
Then my faith says, "Christ is the first and last.
"In Him are peace of mind and soul, assured
"always.  He is, and has, the final Word.
"He rules my time, my work, my destiny,
"and I am safe, secured, relaxed in Him.
"Thus:  neither corporate pro-activity,
"nor useless supervisor's wishful whim
"can do even the slightest harm to me."

Yay, this is very good. I've never read a poem that was a prayer before. Very Unique.
