At The First Corporate Consultant's Meeting

You knew you were the harbinger of Change---
a concept that they might consider strange.
You told them to reach out for information,
to be the cutting edge of escalation:
and, in this way, to give a demonstration
of thought outside the box, proactively
engaged in a new productivity.
Or else, what use was their incorporation?
And you were poised to lead their company,
effecting the transition in planned stages
to bring them alternate rewards and wages,
avoiding both resistance and concession
to past procedures.  This is your profession.
Your new procedures started smoothly, led
by your first question to them---"Hath God said?"

Author's Notes/Comments:

In the last year, I have been amazed at the similarity between corporate obsession with Change (a false god that speaks in some of the cliches included in the poem above) and Satan's spiritual attack up Adam and Eve in Eden.  The false prophets of wrong profits will eventually destroy our society.  The poem is based upon Genesis 3:1 with a further allusion to 2 Peter 2:15.
