Forever's Game

falling into the dark abyss

its enigma enfolding my senses

Speeding through the unkown

landing with no pretenses

I'm trapped in my own creation

lost in the same cliche'

The strings being pulled again

in this never-ending play

There are two single beings

apart from the chess game

I'm just one single pawn

and everyone's the same

The shadows of reality

come crashing all around

Where is my identity

the truth cannot be found

Out of the abyss I crawl

it's more than just a charade

The time had been forever lost

in this facade that we all played

I tried to look above it

as I was being pulled in

I tried to play the game

but there's no way to win

My facade was torn away

and the truth was laid bare

With no rules to begin with

nothing's turned out fair

If everyone is hiding something

yet all empty at their core

If no facade lasts forever

what's forever for?
