and that it hurts you deeply,

but it's better for us both

if we just parted sweetly



please just let me go for now

though it may tear you in two

if i end up coming back

then we'll know it's true



you say that your love is worth

more than all eternity

that i am perfect for you

in time i too may agree



but for now i just need room

time and space so i can breathe

you know with all of your heart

i still don't fully believe



if we're truly meant to be

somehow we will find a way
