Alone In My Room

The memories,

Of what we had for a time,

Are lifting,

Me up by the heart with a smile.

And I'm OK,

I can handle the pain you've caused me,

'Cause when I look back on it,

And all the lies that you told,

I know I'm better off, and I should be free.

But sometimes...

*I'm sitting alone in my room,

Thinking about,

Why you're not here.

I'm watching the day turn to night,

Wondering why,

It turned out this way.               *chorus*

And sometimes,

I get so down.

And sometimes,

I get so blue,

When I'm sitting alone in my room,

Thinking about you.*

And I try,

To remember the good over bad.

The Laughter,

And all of the fun that we had.

But each time,

Thoughts turn from sweet to bittersweet,

Of when you told me that you cared,

Then you walked out that door,

And left me hanging in uncertain defeat.

And sometimes...

*chorus*

I'm sitting alone in my room,

I'm crying alone in my room,

I'm smiling alone in my room,

Thinking about you.
