Echoes

A mere breath's whisper
Through a bronze horizon,
I saw a vision
Of you and me
Imprinted for all time
In a transient sky
Expanding and
Aging with the universe.
Before you,
My soul was calling out
To a fading sun
with songs of longing
From afar,
I was forever chasing stars
Illusions of essence and
Frailest dreams,
Come fall with me now
let our hearts echo
with the perfect sound
into an endless lifetime
Of resplendent dusks.
