Captive Heart

without noticing

a heart was stolen

once beating on its own

now dependent

it's such a mystery

how it happened,

with the flow of love

and longing,

with every beat

weak with wanting,

without noticing

the heart is crying,

unsure

lost in confusion

revelling in sensation,

mine

but no longer,

in my chest

but for another,

with each breath

and with each whisper

i am not myself

anymore,

without hesitation

he possessed me

and in captivity

i dream of

the thief.

Author's Notes/Comments:

the thief of my heart is a sweet one. i'm sure he really didn't mean to commit a crime. ^_^
