+ 9TH POEMS: A Triple Prayer To Saint Alexei Romanov

Saint Alexei:  I ask you to pray

for me at the Throne of Grace, of Christ, the Son of God:

that I might use my Prayer-Rope sometime each day.

Saint Alexei, ask this for me where you stand, on holy ground unshod.

Saint Alexei:  I ask you to pray for a stopping

to this constant search for a screen name, with flipflopping;

too much time wasted, but all that is past, with all of it I am done

today and henceforth:  if your prayers enclose me as Januarian.

.

Saint Alexei:  please pray for me

that I shall always be part of the fellowship of the Mystery,

worshipping according to the grandeur of Mass and its Liturgy---

in these dimensions or in the Heavenly.

Pray that I shall always give the Orthodox Faith a full testimony

that is neither dishonest, nor superficial, nor phony;

but always in the fullness of Orthodox sincerity,

thriving in the Faith and its ancient spirituality.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The poem quotes Ephesians 3:9.
