In the Darkness



I can’t see you, or anything

Everything is surrounding me

But I can’t see them



I look off to the side

Hoping that I will see you

But I can’t see anything



You left me here…

But I’m still standing tall

Alone… but tall



I hear the whispering around me

But none of them is your voice

And they will never be yours



For you are not here

Not anymore

For you’re in the light



You’re where I used to be

Now I’m here

The darkness surrounding me
