I get a little blue sometimes
And add red between the lines
If I don't freak out I should be fine
Because purple looks good on me

Maybe I hold it in too long
And that's why I do the wrong
But how else would I be able to create songs
Since purple sounds so happy

If only blue was good enough
Red wouldn't have to be so tough
And I wouldn't have to be abrupt
For purple makes it's own scene

Blue has brought me down again
So I made red my "up friend"
Together we like to pretend
That purple isn't mean
