Swisher Sweets

The taste of ashes

The smell of swisher sweets

A closet drug addict

A heart that barely beats

Seziures

and blood

A child that doesn't understand

Insolence bloomed

And I asked you,

How could you call yourself

a man?

I am so in love with your poetry. Absolutely captivating and hauntingly sad.

Thank you

That means so much to me. This is one of the poems I've shed a few tears for and ripped up a couple of times. I find poetry sometimes makes me embrace my most painful memories. Every poem I read of yours speaks to me as very heartbroken and dismal, in a beautiful way.

I can tell that you worked

I can tell that you worked hard on this and that it was painful for you. I can definitely relate. Poetry is kind of like the diary for the deepest darkest part of me. It's painful but relieving at the smae time.
