Little Girl

You don’t understand

I am that little girl

Who loves with everything she has

I am a realist who used to be a romantic

Until she

Had her heart broken one too many times

I am the brilliant child who doesn’t fit in because

She is different

Too different

I am the teenager who became the mature one

At home

Because her parents were busy chasing childish dreams

I am the strong

Resilient

Woman with walls around her heart

That only time can tear down

I have overcome so many obstacles to make it here today

But part of me is still

That little girl

You have it right. We all

You have it right. We all have a child inside of us that once was. People have a difficult time accepting that past present and future are all happening at thr same time ...and in fact, time is something man created due to his inability to accept this. Just my own belief.

Romance was created by man as well. And parents teach their children it is something tangible. It is the believer's dream that is...it doesn't have to be yours if you don't want it to, and your life will be just as fullfilling and happily romantic as you want it to be...the difference is that you will be experiencing the romance for what it is...someone else's dream that never became a reality. A storybook that was read, and never experienced.

Be well. Just be you. You are beautiful.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
