Stretch my realm of sight until

my ability to see is gone

These eyes were of no use to me

All that I envisioned was wrong

Pull me from the reach of refuge

Permit me to fall to no end

Plunging into an ocean of

all that is false and pretend

Stagger my breaths to create

a chamber in which to store

your malicious desire for pain

Repelling the comfort I cry for

Crush the earth beneath me

Let it distort my need for light

Making the quest to become myself

a never-ending fight

Yet I will overcome these barriers

and my life shall be own

Leaving you to find my sanity

and to journey on alone
