gaze
instead of doing my work
i'm thinking of you
picturing you sitting across from me
with your head tilted, gaze fixed on me
till my heart is about to beat right out of my chest
and i have to turn away to catch my breath
then from there
it's a stare down
until one of us decides to stop wasting time
my heart goes right on beating
as hard as before
i catch my breath
and know this is right where i want to be
do tell.... but i like it and have definitely felt that way before!
