do i deserve to be sad

do i have a right

if i wasn't as close as some

i guess we never really know the people we affect

in the tiniest ways

everyday

you did this

without knowing it at all

are you looking down and seeing us

count us

we are here because of you

you singlehandedly impacted all of us

in at least some way

beloved doesn't do justice to the person that you were

i glance up and see you

and i don't understand his reason for doing this

to you

to us

maybe it's to teach us, remind us

of the little things we forget

when we get caught up in life
