Left Hand

A mirror I have
To look upon upon my past
Seeing every wrong that you tried to make right
With your left hand
When I look into the mirror
Never will your eyes meet mine
To say "I love you."
That doesn't cut it anymore
I felt that way when my back was turned
Secretly you were sticking a knife through my heart
Looking at exactly what happened
Now knowing all sides, not having my childhood eyes
You were wrong, I was right
That left hand of yours got in the way
I am slowly digging that knife out
Things could have been better
Cold coffe and homemade popcorn
I wasn't the one who said
"My life is so much better without you."
You were
This is the choice you made so long ago
I was just the one who
Finished blowing out the candles
Why did your left hand have to get in the way?
