I was sifting through the shadows
When past distortions rattled
dark and haunting were the tones
shaking down right to the bones
truthfully the day was bright
love was shining greater light
i hoped to see the hearts of gold
but doubts had mixed into the fold

The truth in lies denies the free
Let doubt fade out the past in tow
