Grace at the End

My race is near the end,

I can lay my burden down,

Be not sad my friend,

Rejoice, do not frown.

I have had a long life,

And now it is time to rest,

Had a good family and wife,

By them I did my best.

I have no regret

I served my master well,

If his requirements I have met,

My mansion awaits and not hell.

So rejoice for soon on wings I shall roam,

Give praise to our Lord

For I am going home

To my heavenly reward.

Be at peace, as am I,

Do not be sad, mourn or cry.

Let me see your smile and beautiful eyes,

Hug me and give me a final kiss,

Goodbye.
