contemplation to follow the road... or not

Unburried roots Darling, you know that I love you.
I'm sorry for my absense.
But it must be... for now.
As I have some contemplating to do.
Thinkin' about hitting the road.
A journey with Great Spirit.
Which would mean, I'll be
incommunicado for a while.
Not sure how long or how far.
Just a road that I must follow.
I have a companion.
He knows how to live the road.
And I will learn from him.
It won't be an easy journey.
My faith will be tested.
And so will be my patience.
So will my trust.
But I've been called by spirit.
Many years I've been hearing it.
And now, I have the chance to do it.
So I'm thinking, I just might.
Ooooh.....
I wanna go.
Open road, open road
Why must you tempt me so

I may very well end up in Florida. Would be happy to take you hostage and give you a ride. Have no idea how long it will take me to make my way out that direction. But, it is official. I put in 30 days notice to my employer this morning. I may have just gone completely out of my mind. But, some of my friends think I've just regained it. lol.

Uber excited!!!! Lots of prep
Uber excited!!!! Lots of prep work to do. But on the road, I intend to write, write, write. And once in a while, find a hot spot where I can connect to the internet and post poems.

I truly feel if everyone did
I truly feel if everyone did this once in ther life, the world would be a very different place, with more willingness to understand, and not be so judgemental. You are already a very open minded individual from what I can see of you, but there is a difference in being open minded, and seeing before your eyes, extremes of both beauty and horror, and awakening to the truism that 'we'. being God's most significant and gifted members on the Earth, are responsible for so much, and yet, seem to accept responsibility for so little. I did without a travel mate, and somewhere in the midst between the beginning and now (13 years later...lol), I realized home was wherever I AM (wherever love is). I am glad you have a traveling mate you found to be suitable for the challenges ahead! I am excited for you at the thought :-))))

Thank you nightlight. I am growing more and more excited about this journey. I know it will be difficult and test me on a number of levels. I think it's about time I finally took the risk. And somehow taking the risk with this travel companion just plain feels right. I can't explain it but when spirit speaks this loudly, it's hard not to listen. Got a bit of time to prepare but only one day to make my decision final. :) I hope for no horror, I've had enough of that in my life already. But those moments have prepared me to be able to handle a journey such as this. Wish me safety and good fortune! Peace to you too.

You will be fine!! And understand any naysayers about this decision you've made are only expressing concerns about something they have never been called to do. Most would probably not be able to understand in a million years... so don't waste unnecessary energy on them would be my support in that area. Oh I am so happy for you, Lynn!!! Hey, my mom's even being supportive. So far, I have no naysayers. My friends don't want to see me go but they know I've had the wanderlust for over 4 years. They won't want me gone, but they understand. :) Thanks so much for your support! :D
