Rearranging Things

Put the couch here, No, put it there,

shoot just put the silly thing anywhere,

over by the window or over by the door,

oh, please be careful and don't scratch my floor.

Look at the dust and look at all that dirt,

oh my God, I just stained my very best shirt.

Why do I do this when there is not enough time,

there is always so much dirt and nasty grime.

How does it get all over and up under everything?

Move a couch and there is a big nasty dust ring.

Get out the mop, bucket of water, and the new broom,

Let's get all this dirt that attacks any room.

By the end of the day you are dirty and tired.

Muscles strained and sore, you feel so wired.

The end result makes you feel so happy and good,

makes you want to do another room, if only you could.

There will be other days to do just that,

by then all this to you will be old hat.

So sit back and enjoy the effort you put out,

You will do it again there is no doubt.

Nee' Dan and I laughed our stoned asses off through this entire poem!! LOL I am not joking. This was too much. Very well-written, girl! You GO! The dust rings cracked me up! You know every person reading this has dust rings! LOL I have said it a thousand times...your means of inspiration astound me!

Hi Renee! Well...this poem is definitely enjoyable! I definitely see you finding your niche; your poetry is improving. Not that it ever mattered what those jerks said before- but they couldn't say anything about this poem if they wanted to. It contains no so-called "forced rhyme" or anything of the sort. I love it! I have an appointment soon so I don't have the time to read the other new things I see you have here...but I'm sure I will at a later date. Take care!!!! Jill

I can just picture you doing this task & truly enjoying it, in spite of all the unwanted muscles aches & hidden little dust treasures that you may find. I chuckled all the way through. Fortunately, I don't have to go through that. :) I would have to buy some furniture first. hahahha! Your friend & #1 fan: Amy
