In Your Eyes

In your eyes

In your eyes I see a lion

I see a boy

hopelessly confused with amazement

In your eyes I see a philosopher

whom understands the deepest

of human sorrow

In your eyes I see a teacher

with so much wisdom and knowledge

I see death in all its agony

and remorse

In your eyes i see a vision

of what is important to me

But ironcally in your eyes

I see the man i can never be

In your eyes

Eyes this deep should be kept closed
eyes this deep we can drown
we can lose ourselves
fool ourselves
find our hell
and find it well
the tell tail truth
her lies uncouth
her eyes so true
the deepest blue
you've lost it too
