poem_146_Hate_to_Love

I never understood the phrase

"Hate to love"

Until this very moment

And it brought me to tears

Such a simple phrase

Overlooked by ignorance

Only seen as another cliche

Until it's been experienced

It's when you hate

Something so much

Because the memories

Bring you to tears

And tears your heart

Open again like a stitch

But you love it

Because in that same instance

So much has been given

To you

To feel

Something so powerful

The second

Minute

Two or three

That make you feel crazy

Because your sad crying

Spontaneously becomes happy

It hurts so much

Yet feels so good

When you cry so long

Just to laugh in the end

That oxymoronic phrase

Cliched beyond others

Unappreciated till lived

When you hate to love
