Clear out the old

To bring in the new

I'm now in my 20s

They're startin' blue



First there was puberty

Then there was cancer

Or after 5 years

Finding it to be the answer



Then there was high school

With graduation struggles

Extra curricular, taiko

And boyfriend juggles



My first wreck

First swallowed pain

First heart break

First blood stain



My first neglected feeling

My first lonely night

First family death

First family fight



The feel of hopelessness

Of suicidal thought

Almost doing it

'Til I was caught



And the last of the bad

As I turn a new 'cade

A devastating break up

Of emotional crusade



Sure there was good

But most of it bad

Like most teens

Have probably had



But the great negativity

Within those ten

Makes me wish that my 20s

The positivity will begin
