A really bad dream

A really bad dream

by Gustavo Hernandez

One spooky and dark night  Little Tim wakes up at because of a strange and loud noise, he is confused and scared by this sound so gets out of his bed to find out what’s happening, his mind is filled with scary thoughts of monsters and ghosts but that doesn’t stop him from going out of his room to look around his house, Tim scared and shaking slowly walks across the hallway of the house, entering room after room looking for the source of the sound but without any clue from where its coming from then he hear it again, it sounds as it is coming from outside in the backyard,  the fear grows more and more as he approached the backyard door but he keeps walking even if he doesn’t know what he is going to find out.

Now Tim finds himself freeze in front of the door, he builds some courage and open it to go outside; the backyard is darker and bigger than he ever remembers it being, the only thing visible is at the other end of the backyard  is a old storage shed that hadn’t been use in Tim’s family for years, that’s where Tim thinks the sound is coming out, between him and the storage shed  there it is only the darkness of the night, he starts to feel that going out wasn’t a good idea that maybe he should have stayed in bed, he had always been scared of the dark so he doesn’t know why he thought going to check out of the house was good idea, finally his set his mind to face his fears after all he is already outside,  so he close his eyes and rush where the storage shed  is. Once in the front of the storage door Tim realize that this is his last chance to going back to his house but his curiosity is so big that drives him to open the door, the moment he opens it the brightest light he have ever seen come out from the storage shed, the light is so bright that it was almost like looking directly  to the sun, from inside the light a big shade can be seen coming out at the look of this Tim start running back to the house but in his way back he trips off with a skateboard and pass out, when he wakes up he finds himself in his room and doesn’t remember what happened after he fell, so he just assume it was all a nightmare, or was it?

Liked this too. I think it

Liked this too. I think it might not have been a nightmare. Perhaps if Tim stayed to see what the shadow figure was, he would have found himself as the light. And that might have felt just right.
