I stand alone
watching the starless sky.
Upon my temple
Weiry windows to my soul,
Still seeking
the last rays of hope,
Burn
With guttering ember.
You stand beside me,
For but a moment.
Knowing
none will approach my watch,
the wolf abates.
you warm yourself
and are gone
by days embrace.
I stand alone
the temple crumbles,
in silence
I fall.
