We were watching, we were waiting
Heard the tune, we were singing
Saw the stars fill up the sky
and it all shined so bright
We were watching, we were waiting
For the next full, blue mooned twilight
Saw the glow from miles up high
Sparkling and gleaming all through the night
We were watching, we were waiting
For the chance to dance outside
Saw the sparkle inside your eyes
As you lovingly looked into mine
We were watching, we were waiting
Waiting is only temporary, we'll spend our lives side by side
