Eyes full of scars
Mind full of confusions
Looking at the stars
Repeating same illusions
Pretending someone's there
Looking down upon me
Dying to see his one glare
Is there a God to save me?
Feelings are going to fade
I will become an atheist
And if you are afraid
Prove me that you exist
through every step of life
I kept my faith in you
Still waiting for that light
Still surrounded by the blue
Where were you at that time
When I was fighting with my stammer
Believing you was a crime
Should've kill myself with a hammer
Holy books couldn't guide me
I am lost with no path
Darkness is what I see
I found the truth at last
I was wrong that you'll come
To help me get back up
I was left there so numb
And so scared to step up..I gave up
Dreams I followed are burning
Like a rose in flames
With wet eyes I'm yearning
Digging a grave for my aims
Thoughts pops in my mind and insist
That you're a myth I should leave
I want to be an atheist
But I know, and I believe,
That you won't let me be
....
No matter who it is for, i
No matter who it is for, i like it a lot. Gohil, I have to say, i enjoy reading most all you write. As far as there being a god, i truly believe we reap what we create for ourselves. So whether someone believes in god or not, i feel it isn't any of my business, because the god issue is all about the person and where they are on their life journey.

It feels like a relationship that has been strained,
like your talking to God telling him you cant see him
telling him you need him to be present,

I would say to keep writing. There is a sense in this to me that says that you are not Athiest, but just wise enough to see that symbolism can only be taken so far.

Well if they read the poem
Well if they read the poem how I saw it then they would see it isn't exactly against God. I see it as you have been told your whole life that God will be there and now you are expecting it. Even the last stanza says you want to be an atheist but believe God won't let you be. It is a very well done poem and if there are negative comments by people who believe in God then they should take a little more time to read it unobjectively.
