For A Rose...

Long ago in days of old
there was a story the sages told
about a knight and his journey so bold
it was not for riches or mountains of gold
or for a sword stuck in a stone
through this quest, though it was long and cold
the knight still journeyed on
all what for? you may ask
what was so important for this mighty task
if you asked the knight
here's what he'd say
"for a rose, for a rose, for my lady fair
for what other flower could I compare
to her pure beauty
to my lady fair
for a rose, for a rose,
I have fiercely fought
for every battle, for every foe
nothing will stop me from achieving the rose
I will fight, I will fight until the break of day
until my last breath, I will stand my ground
for a rose, for a rose
for my lady fair
I will fight for her honor
I will fight in her name
all for a rose, a flower not tamed"
kingdoms may crumble and the sky may fall
nothing will stop him
not even the darkest of night
not even the suns glow
would stop our dear knight from going forth
all for a rose, this story lives on
all for a rose.
