Colorblind

The world is not
black and white to me.

The way I see it
we all blend into each other.

We’re a rainbow where
the borders blur
into one another.

When we are united,
we’re a multicolored arc
of beauty.

There is no distinction
between us.

We’re just skin with
varying pigments.

But at our core
we are all equal.

Our hearts and bones
are exactly alike.

We bleed the same;
pain is similarly felt
across the spectrum.

If only,
we could all be colorblind.

Then we would see
everything clearer.
