I can’t seem to do anything right

Because I feel like a failure.



I pursue something that

Is not mine to have.



I don’t want to settle for

Less than You think I deserve.



How I can wait for love when

It’s standing right in front of me?



I search in the black hole

Of heartbreak to no avail.



Will I ever find what I’m looking for,

The love You show, on earth?



Will you stop me when I am

Crashing toward the pavement?



Will you save me from myself?

Will you fix my broken reflection?



Then I hear your voice

Speaking through my heart.



You tell me You will light

The mirror so I look beautiful.



You say I don’t need fixing,

That I am perfect in Your eyes.
