Society

We are all diseased, plagued by

Images promoting lustful actions.

A cancerous itch scratched incessantly

Breeding disease through our society

Where thoughts are contaminated.

A culture instructed to curse the sacred,

Appointed to strip themselves of dignity

And enwrap themselves in carnal desires,

A society where self-control is not regarded

But thrown floor side next to clothing.

Daughters of a generation are bred

To believe acceptance is attainable,

Just dress scantily-clad, feed hungry eyes

Satisfy every boy’s lascivious cravings,

But ultimately both hearts are left deprived.

A cancerous itch scratched incessantly
breeding disease through our society
where thoughts are contaminated.

A culture instructed to curse the sacred,
forced to strip themselves of dignity
and cover themselves with carnal desires,
a society where self-control is not regarded
but discarded floor side next to clothing.

Daughters of a generation are bred
to believe acceptance is attainable,
just dress scantily-clad, feed hungry eyes
satisfy every boy’s lascivious cravings,
but ultimately both hearts are left deprived.

I agree. If there is one thing to blame, it's advertisement. TV, radio, magazines, you name it, it's there; the common marketing strategy of "sex sells."
