One Must Wonder Why

It only took me a month to over a girl,
A girl for whom I cared abundantly,
When I think it, my insides curl,
If it recurs, I feel this redundantly.

One must wonder why...

We were together for a month,
Things were good when we started;
Yet, there were problems to haunt
Us where our may had parted.

One must wonder why...

We had been happily and cuddly
With smiles and stares so merry;
My warm touch has gone unlovely,
But that is not what was so scary.

One must wonder why...

We used to hold hands all day,
As we would often take a walk;
If we are near, there is less to say,
To avoid arguing, she do not talk.

One must wonder why...

We do not hold hands anymore,
I am not the one she'd truly love;
She is the one whom I adore,
And still the only one I dream of.

One must wonder why...

She used to want to see me,
Now, she does not bother to call;
She threatens to leave me,
But never really left me at all.
