An Ode to The Tranquility of Winter

Nature An endless sea of diamonds
Greeted the golden sun today
Blinding white. And crispy arctic
Crystal shards of transluscent light
Dangled, sparkling everywhere,
Far as far as the eye could see.
Born of deep eternal wisdom
And great creative artistry
From Her Majesty Mother Earth,
The trees are calmly blanketed,
Sheltering the tiny creatures
Nestled so silently within.
Mint - frosted breath so coolly hung
Sweetly in the fresh mountain air,
As excited faery - lights danced
Around the silenced white forests.
Each pixie - light first of its kind.
No duplicates, so they do say.
Then bright of day turns into night
And luminescence abounded
Under the smile of Father Moon,
Filling the celestial skies
With endless seas of diamonds
Far as far as the eye could see.
And, in those endless diamond seas,
Between the bonds of earth and sky
With faery - lights upon the winds,
We feel the bliss of minted breath
Coolly sweet in the mountain air
Tenderly sheltered together.
