romance is tawdry

your lips are harmony

and your hips

beckon for excitement

the kitchen overlooks

the trees, changing

to a naked forest

the apartment is bare

and you should be in

the middle of your third

gin & tonic on a saturday night

the dance of ice in your glass as if

they were chimes from the breeze

through the sky light window

your elbows in the sink

your smile radiating towards

the bare necessities of the wilderness

and the clap of thighs demanding

a curtain call

you and i squeezing

tawdry into harmony

with romance

like a sprig of parsley

coloring the palette

This is wonderful. The simplicity and similes used make it pure and true. Beautiful work.
