i know it sounds simple

or contrived



but i want nothing

but to hold your hand again



and if i can't have that

i want you to know that is

all i ask for



though much more

would not be denied



i hope you will accept my

drunk and soft anatomy

if i can provide a hand

to hold and the intimacy

of another night of romance

and i have drifted

into the conclusion

that that is everything
