it is humor that

breaks the tension



but few know



that later

2 a.m. later

it is your wonderful

slow, sensuous kiss

that is the ramble

along the path

of desire



i seek out the humor

and dream of the moment

where somehow

i am in your arms

dreaming of magic



i want the lights

to go out

and the furnace

to come on



and laughter

to fill the air
