Or is it Memorex?

I was listening

to the Silk Road Project

and recalling 

the Presidential inauguration in 2009.

Yo Yo Ma was scheduled

to play a piece

with his string quartet 

in honor of the new president.

They elected to the play a recording 

as it was an awfully cold day

to be bending those strings.

They did the old air cello

and air violin routine

and just pretended to be

actually playing the instruments;

This was the first major scandal

of the Obama administration.

I remember the outrage and shock.

Fans and reporters could

hardly hide their displeasure.

It shook the foundation

of our dear nation.

The empire nearly crumbled.
