I'm tired of all these rules

Of how I should act or stand

I'm tired of being "Just a woman"

So treat me like a man



What do I have to do

Just to gain your respect

Which of my many flaws

Must I willingly correct?



I've tried to be a lady

Polite, modest, and full of grace

But inside I'm screaming

It's painted on my face



So let me be equal

Because I know I can
