The wounds will heal the pain will subside.
The scares will go away, that you tryed so hard to hide.
But memories will never fade.
And the proof always shows.

Your right, memories will never go away. They will always stay. BUt you can make new memories that are good, so they can over rule the bad ones. I know exactly how you feel. Proof always shoes, even if people dont always know what it is, I do. :(
