Sweet Tangerine

Folder:
Poems

Sat down upon the bank

Among the grassy river bed

Placid mirror reflection of silver and gold

Breeze caress my soul

Take me to a place

Of pure sunshine and summer evenings to last like these

In my palm was a sphere of delight

Stripped it piece by piece

A gambler's toss sent them rippling to float down that riverside

Sweet,

Sweet Tangerine

Author's Notes/Comments:

I ate a tangerine that day and threw the pieces into the river
