Hope not

Not many girls grow to ladies

Few boys are growing up to be men

A time of anger, racism and hate

Government grip is frightening

Scratching your head at every weeks end

Raise the gate, let us be

Both eyes are blacked from the nose I bleed

Money brings happiness, pleasure some pain

Broke is deadly, pity and shame

Some people lay dead and somehow   revived

They speak of the light, this bright other side

If this light is new birth, reincarnated again

Grab a few nurses and shove me back in

I have contemplated this

I have contemplated this being shoved back in and I'm afraid that once the breath has been experinced, going back in would just lead to drowning. Now as far as the light, this we have experienced. Comes in strong when gratitude is practiced with a changing of the mind. We try to remember that, especially when the going gets tough. We chose love choose love choose love. (We think love is fears opposite. Yet we also recognize it's deep connection with fear. As love and fear seem to go hand in hand. So we continue to chose love any time fear arises. With a nice touch of faith, trust and gratitude) it's helpful. Keeps us enjoying the life more than when we chose to indulge fear too deeply. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, you have a certainly sent my mind into contemplation.
