Memories

Somethings were meant to remember,

others we chose to forget.

But, when it comes to you

theres only one thing I regret.

Letting you walk out that door,

watching you walk away.

All the feelings stuffed inside

couldnt find the words to say.

too make you change your mind,

too make you change your way.

Relying on a feeling,

that said this wont be true.

I'v seen this kind of reaction

but not here, not from you.

I guess I will never understand

the way that you have felt.

My misinterpretation

has forced my turn to dealt.

I realize my wrong

and dream of this to be a lesson.

Waiting for your return,

keeps me impatient and full of aggression.

And still some day

you may never return.

keeping with you

the torch that one day

again will continue to burn.

Memories are created everyday...and due to a special lady of the past, she has given me the inspiration to write this.  So here is to you Jen and forever loving memories.

This was very good! It has probably been my favorite so far. Who knows, someday the girl and the tourch will return! If that is what you truly want I wish that for you.

You have the name of a writer. You certainly would not have to have a pen name.

Although this did not closely happened to me, I know how it feels to be in this kind of situation. When I was reading your poem, it brought tears to my eyes; the first line and the last stanza were the part that touched me the most. And I like the way you expressed your thoughts and feelings in it. Keep it up always.
