The Desert Sublime

Folder:
Poetry

The shadows grow long as the sun settles
To rest in his ephemeral solitudes

As the consuming shadows blanket the rugged monoliths
A stillness overcomes the barren beauty

Slowly, the beautiful reds and oranges are
Overtaken by greys and silvers as the beauty of night falls
As a gentle hush over the dessert

The moon rises, casting a surreal ambiance as she slowly
Transverses the muted skies

Her silvery glow basks upon the silence below until her journey
Trespasses into sleep, waking the sun once again

The sun, revived, casts his golden dawn upon the wilds, once
More painting a radiant canvas of reds and orange.
