Crowd

Life is in my way I can’t get through

Stuck in a place that’s without you

Jammed in to center of screaming loud

I see you standing out of the crowd

I can’t make my way through in time

To go catch you and make you mine

These people don’t understand

Where I’m going and who I am

I need you want you so don’t go away

I’m begging you to please just stay

You can’t hear me because of these sounds

You start to wonder and look around

I’m held back too tired to move

To try and go by right next to you

I call out your name of one more sound

Then your head sinks to the ground

You didn’t hear me yell so loud?

I’m trying to tell you I’m in this crowd!

A tear starts to leave a trail on your face

Wishing I can be there to erase it

But I’m trapped in this crowd

I want to see you, but it’s like I’m not allowed

You start to walk away from this place

I’m hoping you will glance at my face

And know I’m right here waiting

Hoping and anticipating

I see your back against the clouds

I try one last time to push in this crowd

But it’s useless to even try

I guess I will have to say goodbye

But I don’t want to see you walk away

Without hearing what I have to say

But the noise is so loud for us both

We lost what we had and all we loved most

Next time I see you I’ll try again

But I’ll only speak as loud as a friend

Maybe then you’ll hear me

In the crowd
