Walkin' down this road that we call life

I met a man.

At first I thought he was just some bum

sleepin' on the street,

but then he said to me...



I'm a winner, and I'm a loser

along with everything in between.

I'm a seer, and I'm a blind man.

I'm just doin what I can,

but most of all I'm me

because that's all that I can be.



I gave him some money, and said a prayer for him

as I walked on down the road.

I came up to a corner where I saw a woman there

she looked at me and cried, please forgive me.

I simply reminded her that someone does care.

You see...

Then one night I finally couldn't go anymore...

I said "I can't take this anymore!!!"

Then I fell to my knees and hands

I looked up, and cried "I just can't...",

but what I saw when my eyes were closed made everything clear.

The Lord was looking down to me, and said...



I'm the beginning, and I'm the end

along with everything in between.

I am he, because that is all that I can be.
