Amazing grace,

how sweet the sound

that lifted me from

the world all around,

and took me in the night

like a thief,

without a sound.



Amazing grace,

thank you for showing me

the wrong and the right way to be.

Thank you for being there

even in my sin,

because I know

in the end,

you will win.



Amazing grace,

my troubles are through.

Taken away they were,

in the night by you.

You picked me up,

and dusted me off

when I was on the ground,

so I wouldn't die off.



Amazing grace,

in you I will always trust,

because now it is

that I know your love.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

As my faith has grown over the last 3 years (almost), I have discovered something for myself.  God's grace is sufficient for us above all else.  Why is that so hard for people to see? Because we are all blind...I praise the Lord that he gives me my sight back every day.

i tell you what..... i havn't read too many of the poeams yet but so far i like them all......... you have a way with words and it is great that you can find the words to put it on paper and make it really stand out. keep it uo it is wonderful!!!!!!!

this is a good poem, its brave to express how you feel about God. everyone is not always excepting in life, but you have to keep on going and i like that.
