Come Back to Me

A daddy looked down at the ground

as they had searched all around

for his son.

Then she walked up to his side,

wrapped her arm around his tight

and they both cried...

and he said...

Son I know we made you mad,

but listen to me now,

this is your dad.

We miss you son and love you so.

Your mom and I miss you,

but we want you to know...

that we love you...

Come back,

Please come back to me.

I'm sitting here waiting for you.

I'll wait as long as it takes

even if it's forever and a day

until you come this way...

Come back to me...

As he ran away,

he thought of how mad they'd be

if he returned to them this way.

Beaten and broken inside he couldn't deal

with the way he probably made them feel.

How could they love him today?

He seemed to hear his father say...

Come back,

please come back to me.

We really miss you so,

and we want you to know

that even if it's forever and a day

before you come this way

that we'll always love you...

Come back to me...

Just then when he looked up

he realized he wasn't alone,

and felt something he thought was long gone.

He looked up at the painting,

and he cried for so long

as the Lord seemed to look down on him

this is what he heard...

Hello my son Im sorry to see you there

as you cry, know that I did this for you.

I want you to know,

that I'll always love you

no matter what you do...

So come back,

please come back to me.

I really miss you so,

and I want you to know

that I'm here for you.

Take my hand,

and I promise to show you

a world made anew...

Come back

please come back to me.

Even if I have to wait

for ALL of eternity.

I will be here for you

to make your life anew...

So come back...

Please come back to me...

profound and beautiful, your lines start off as parents then graduate to our lord, great wrap up of a very obvious thing we all need to do! Wonderful piece!
