Sad But True

How can you think I'm gonna plan on staying

Take a look at me and still tell me I'm mistaken.

How can you constantly stay and put me down

After all this time of never being around.

It's sad, really, but it's also very true

That after I do this, I'm gonna lose you.

It pains me, that you're all holding onto me

When you know this isn't the place for me.

You wonder why I always stood at such a distance

All this time I've known nobody was going to listen.

This misery has it's hold on me, I need to escape

Nobody could ever take the blame for their own mistakes...

It's sad, really, but it's also very true

That after I do this, I'm gonna lose you...

I'm losing hope in what to do

And I knew even before this, I lost you...

Incredible. This poem can relate to a situation I'm coping with now. The words are eloquent, yet unique. They tell the story directly, and they preech the sentiments of a sunken yet determined heart. Amazing, dear. Purely amazing.
